• review R videos/tutorials
• download datasets and run through the video examples
• complete HW sets that go with the videos
• be able to import data and assign columns of data to variables
• be able to run t-tests, test of variance, different kinds of anovas, tukey tests, linear regression, anova of linear regression
• understand the tests for catagorical vs continuous data and what tests to run for each
• import Michele's data set and run different statistical tests (TBD)
• this will help you prepare for working with our new data that another group is collecting this summer

• choose a dataset you're interested in
• learn to get the dataset you want
• import your data
• create research questions
• define how you'll answer those research questions
• learn how to netCDF data files for all sorts of data about the earth
• Find online resources and post them to the blog
• I've put 5 files into our shared google drive to get your started (note: I was not successful!):
• 3 R scripts where I was trying to get at the data inside a netCDF file
• 2 netCDF files (extension .nc) -  data with temp vs lat and long
• Choose your own project using netCDF data to analyze data in these kinds of files
